New Jersey State Sanitary Code Chapter IX PUBLIC RECREATIONAL BATHING N.J.A.C.8:26
Bathing Beach Bather Rules:
1. Do not enter the water if you are experiencing or recovering from diarrhea or have had any signs or symptoms of a gastrointestinal (stomach) disease in the past seven days.
2. All children in diapers must wear diapers specially designed for immersion in water (such as swimming diapers). Do not wash out soiled diapers in the bathing water.
3. Children should be encouraged to use the restroom before entering the water. Immediately report any "accidents" you observe in the bathing waters to a lifeguard.
4. No animals, except for service animals, shall be allowed in the swimming pool, wading pool, hot tub, or spa area, dressing rooms, or other parts of the enclosure.
5. Glass containers shall be prohibited in food and drink areas.
6. All persons shall shower before entering the water.
7. Conduct which endangers the safety and comfort of others shall be prohibited.
8. Outdoor bathing shall be prohibited during an electrical storm.
9. Persons suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol shall be prohibited from entering the water.
10. No motorized vehicles, except emergency and maintenance vehicles, shall be permitted in the bathing area during its use.
11. No boating, water skiing, sailboating, windsurfing, scuba diving, use of personal watercraft, or surfboarding shall be permitted in the swimming and bathing area while in use.
Lake Iliff Community Club Swim Rules
we ask that all members obey the following
Only experienced swimmers are allowed to the floating dock without a parent (ex: no small children with float devices accompanied by an older sibling)
No back dives off of the diving board
No throwing of sand
No swimming under the floating dock
No fishing or boats in the swimming area
No children allowed on the other side of the kiddie dock-in the weeds
“Horseplay” which the physical shoving, tripping and roughhousing which could cause an injury shall not be permitted
No swimming during an electrical thunderstorm
A person suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol shall be prohibited from entering the water
Use of LICC Safety equipment shall only be used for its intended purpose and shall not be sued for recreational purposes
All children in diapers must wear diapers specifically designated for immersion in water (such as swimming diapers). Dirty diapers may NOT be disposed of anywhere on LICC property.
Members who are over 18 and choose to swim outside of the swimming area are not the responsibility nor liability of LICC nor it’s lifeguards.
Members are expected to clean up their areas and put away any LICC equipment before leaving including removal of trash, debris, and food items from the refrigerator. Please use the recycling container for any recyclable items. Grills and LICC utensils should be cleaned and put away after use.
Flotation devices are allowed
Smoking is permitted, but please take all butts with you and dispose of properly AND be wary of other members who do not appreciate smoke in their air. If possible, please try to smoke closer to the parking lot area.
Alcoholic beverages are allowed on the beach, however, they must be in PLASTIC or METAL containers. NO GLASS is allowed on the beach. Alcohol may NOT be left in the refrigerator.
NO dogs allowed on the beach
If necessary, the person causing the problem may be asked to leave the beach for the day and an incident report should be filed with the Board of Directors of LICC. If any member has a concern about another member, please refer them to an Officer of LICC.
Lake Iliff Community Club Member Code of Conduct
we ask that all members obey the following
The intention of this is to establish clear and acceptable behavior expectations for the Lake Iliff Community Club members and guests. It is not intended to restrict the rights of anyone but rather to ensure that all members and guests can expect to be treated with respect while enjoying the Lake Iliff Community Club. the club deems that upon payment of membership, all members and guests have given their consent to be bound by both the restrictions and penalties imposed by this code of conduct.
All members and guests will:
Conduct themselves in a respectful manner and will not knowingly disrespect members, officials or fellow lake guests.
Respect the rights of other members (Ex: will not verbally or physically threaten or slander others, either personally or through social media)
Not engage in any form of sexual, racial, religious discrimination or harassment.
Respect the lake facilities, bathhouse, club supplies, and members’ vehicles.
Not conduct themselves in any rude or immoral manner, including the use of profane language, gestures, insults, or other such misbehavior.
Abide by all state and local laws and regulations, including the possession of any illegal drugs and weapons on the property of the Lake Iliff Community Club.
Be an Ambassador for the Lake Iliff Community Club when out in the community or at other clubs as we are ALL representatives of the club.
Resolution of violations to the Lake Iliff Community Club Code of Conduct:
Should a violation take place it will be put on the agenda of hte next Board of Directors/Trustees meeting. In all cases should there be damage to property, monetary restitution will be mandatory to continue membership. After discussion, the Board of Directors/Trustees shall offer the member an opportunity to state their case. At the Board meeting after the period for hte member or guest to state their case, the Board will determine the extent of penalty which could include temporary or complete loss of membership or privileges.
Lake Iliff Community Club Guest Policy
Anyone who does Not live in your household is considered a guest.
Guests are welcome to join you at the beach, we simply ask for a $5.00 per person (anyone 16 yrs or over)/per day fee. Please leave your fee in the “guest fee” box on top of the refrigerator in the bathhouse.
Guests MUST be accompanied by a member at all times.
Guests must obey that same rules and code of conduct as members follow.
Members are ultimately responsible for their guests.
